Did you know that just participating in the arts is associated with measurable academic benefits—including higher standardized test scores! In this art series kids will try their hand at all things art: painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking and more! Art isn't just about making beautiful things—it's about building creative thinkers, confident problem-solvers, and lifelong learners. On the final day we will end with a Halloween SHEBANG with fun projects of ghosts, pumpkins, and black cats. Kids will delight in celebration balloons, Pop-cycle treats and Hallowe'en knick-knacks to take home! Wear your Hallowe'en costumes if you like! Families are invited to the Viewing of Creations at 5:10 on the last day of class, 10/20. So sweet, so cute! We just want to eat them up, but lets create them instead! These lovable squishmellow characters will be the focus of this multi-media series, where kids will explore many avenues of the art world. From printmaking on rice paper, painting in brilliant shimmer colors, and sculpting with model magic clay, your kiddo will be engaged in a whirl wind of imaginative projects and 3D visual references. One-to-one guidance will ensure that even the most timid artist will shine with confidence as they present their artwork in a Gallery Show, extended to parents on the last day of class. Note: These classes are an hour and a half long. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier on the final day for a prideful exhibition of our 'viewing of creations'!

Learn to Draw SpongeBob & Friends!

Calling all Sponge Bob fans! Join us for four fun-filled classes where kids will learn how to draw Sponge Bob, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy, Plankton, and other favorite 'Bikini Bottom' characters. Through easy step-by-step instruction, students will develop drawing skills, creativity, and confidence while creating a portfolio of cartoon artwork they'll be excited to take home. Perfect for beginners and young artists who just love these cartoons! 

BONUS: Kids will design their own custom zippered Case to take home! 

Expect a little mess and a lot of creativity—please wear clothes that are not precious.

Renaissance High School

Do your kiddos love to paint? Great! Let's get these creative kids started with cute animals and beautiful flowers! Students participating in this series will be learning skill-improving techniques in acrylics and watercolor painting. 
Did you know that integrating art to a child's curriculum raises scores in core subjects! It increases cognitive development and boosts long-term memory through visual and tactile engagement. Our young artist's will be engaged in three creative projects aimed with individual interests in mind as we embark on understanding color, composition and value, including tint and shade awareness. FUN FACT: Famous innovators such as Leonardo da Vinci used both artistic and scientific thinking, demonstrating how creativity and innovation work together.
