    Our young artists will be taking on LIONS & TIGERS & BEARS in this fun art series! Kids love animals, especially the big and powerful ones with artwork that we will be developing in acrylics, chalk pastels, oil pastels and clay. Emphasis will be placed on proportion and detail as we learn the various techniques necessary to improve as artists. A Gallery Show will be presented to families following class on the final day.   • The Artist's Apprentice - Ready. Set. Paint!

    Does your kiddos love to paint? Great! Let's get these young artist started! Students participating in this series will be learning skill-improving techniques in acrylics and watercolor painting.   • rGobble! Gobble! Workshop

    Renaissance High School, 6558 Waldon Rd, Village of Clarkston, MI 48346, USA

    It's almost turkey time! Kids will learn a skill called Bauernmalereia traditional form of folk art originating from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. First we'll practice by painting a turkey, to show off fanciful feathers. Then we will work on an actual pumpkin, painting it white or black and then painting flowers, vines and leaves with a brush of loaded colors. It will be so beautiful you will want keep it as a nice centerpiece for the Thanksgiving table!A Gallery Show will be presented to families following class on the final day.     Let's explore all things art! We will take paint brushes in hand to engage the contemporary works of Andrew Haslen a styles we will strive to emulate in our animal inspired, acrylic paintings. Students will be working with pulled string art and Manga cartoons as well! A wide range of art principles will be explored, including value, perspective, color theory and composition. We will try our hand at papier-mâché bas reliefs featuring birds! This is a FUN, fine art learning experience you won't want to miss!     Young artist's in these classes share a common interest in Manga! Drawing these big-eyed characters, (with attitudes to match) will be the main focus of our drawings as we navigate the ins & outs of proportion. We will focus on storyboards with the insertion of transformation Chibis. As we step into the Japanese culture of Kawaii, (affectionate, cute, adorable), we will create interesting bubble backgrounds using food coloring and soap solutions.  A Gallery Show will be presented to families following class on the final day.
