  • 4rbThe Artist's Apprentice-Squishmellow Mania!

    September 14, 2026  3:20 pm - 4:50 pm
University Hills Elementary, 600 Croydon Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48309, USA

So sweet, so cute! We just want to eat them up, but lets create them instead! These lovable squishmellow characters will be the focus of this multi-media series, where kids will explore many avenues of the art world. From printmaking on rice paper, painting in brilliant shimmer colors, and sculpting with model magic clay, your kiddo will be engaged in a whirl wind of imaginative projects and 3D visual references. One-to-one guidance will ensure that even the most timid artist will shine with confidence as they present their artwork in a Gallery Show, extended to parents on the last day of class. Note: These classes are an hour and a half long. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier on the final day for a prideful exhibition of our 'viewing of creations'!

So, is this a math class? Of course not. :) We're just here to have fun and make our best art! (But if the kids learn something new in the mean time, let's not stop them. ;)
Sign up today and come join the fun! A Gallery Show will be extended to family at 5:00 on the final day. Please bring water bottle, snack, and wear clothes that are not precious. Taught by artist/educator Pamela Palmer, B.F.A. of The Artist's Apprentice.
