AA Calendar List

So sweet, so cute! We just want to eat them up, but lets create them instead! These lovable squishmellow characters will be the focus of this multi-media series, where kids will explore many avenues of the art world. From printmaking on rice paper, painting in brilliant shimmer colors, and sculpting with model magic clay, your kiddo will be engaged in a whirl wind of imaginative projects and 3D visual references. One-to-one guidance will ensure that even the most timid artist will shine with confidence as they present their artwork in a Gallery Show, extended to parents on the last day of class. Note: These classes are an hour and a half long. Please arrive 15 minutes earlier on the final day for a prideful exhibition of our 'viewing of creations'!

So what are we waiting for, let's get started!
Students will be involved in learning about fractals in nature and creating beautiful artwork using inks on watercolor paper to representing this phenomenon. 
We will also be adapting our acrylic paintings using the golden ratio as our guide and talk about the Fibonacci sequence. Let's also learn about patterns with A tessellation project! So, is this a math class? Of course not. :) We're just here to have fun and make our best art! (But if the kids learn something new in the mean time, let's not stop them. ;)

On the final day we will end with a Halloween SHEBANG with fun projects of ghosts, pumpkins, and black cats. Kids will delight in celebration balloons, Pop-cycle treats and Hallowe'en knick-knacks to take home! Wear your Hallowe'en costumes if you like! Families are invited to the Viewing of Creations at 5:10 on the last day of class, 10/20.
