  • A lot of Sculpture for Kids

    Let's get busy! Cute sleeping foxes, bunnies and kitties will be the subject matter of our sgraffito etched pieces. We will, also be using self-drying clay to make slab pots embossed with lace, so fine. As well on our agenda, Model Magic®, swirly woolly lambs, as cute as can be, and while we're at it let's make a bee too! Hope to see you soon!

     Ages 7 & up. (As always siblings of any age are welcome to register)

    Taught by Artist/Instructor Pamela Palmer B.F.A., owner of The Artist's Apprentice.

    $60 plus $20 material fee payable to instructor on the 1st day of classes.

  • More Art Please!

    Young artists will be exploring 6 weeks of all things art! We will take paint brushes in hand to engage the contemporary works of Andrew Haslen a styles we will strive to emulate in our animal inspired, acrylic paintings. Students will be working with pulled string art and Manga cartoons as well! A wide range of art principles will be explored, including value, perspective, colour theory and composition. We will try our hand at wood burning and papier-mâché bas reliefs! Each week we will pursue a new avenue in art with painting, multi-media, drawing & clay sculpture being among them. This is a FUN, fine art learning experience you won't want to miss! A Gallery Show will be extended to families following class on the final day of class. Taught by Artist/Instructor Pamela Palmer B.F.A. owner of The Artist's Apprentice.

  • Sculpture Anyone?

    Let's get creative with all new sculpture projects! Students will be making and painting miniature birds using aluminum foil, wire, wipes and acrylics. Next we will create jellyfish with Model Magic, yarn and plastic. Also, innovative abstract, topographical line art with foam and and colored paper will be explored. A Gallery Show of our students artwork will be extended to families following class on the final day!  Taught by Artist/Instructor Pamela Palmer B.F.A., Owner/Entrepreneur of The Artist's Apprentice.

  • I like the way you paint!

    Let's try painting in a variety of methods, adding some mixed media by making marbleized backgrounds, (along with other experimental methods,) and cut-out foregrounds to create beautiful paintings. Students will be working in acrylics, gouache paint and Mod Podge on canvas and linen. Subject matter will include farm and zoo animals A Gallery Show will be extended to families following class on the final day.
